building on the puzzlets platform

The National Science Foundation has chosen Digital Dream Labs to participate in a SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) Phase 1 Project. The $225,000 award will fund exploration of extending the Puzzlets platform from two to three dimensions to teach the fundamentals of engineering to young students.

According to the award abstract, “The SBIR Phase I Project will explore, through the use of near field communications (NFC), the extension of a proprietary platform that can read land construct data in 2 dimensions to 3 dimensions.”

validated classroom tool

As the number of companies offering tangible learning products continues to grow, participation in projects like this will differentiate Puzzlets from its competition and exhibit Digital Dream Labs dedication to building innovative ed-tech products.

“This is a great win for our team. Not only will [the National Science Foundation award] allow us to further develop the platform, but it also validates Puzzlets potential as a classroom teaching tool.”Justin Sabo, CO-FOUNDER / CCO
