How the Puzzlets Play Tray Works

There’s a lot that goes into allowing the Play Tray to register commands and accurately relay them to your connected device. Here’s a peek at what you’re getting inside of your Puzzlets Play Tray:

  • Connector.

    Bluetooth Enabled

The Play Tray uses Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low energy) to connect wirelessly with compatible devices.

  • Connector.

    USB Connection

The Play Tray has a Micro USB port which is used for charging the included battery and connecting to compatible devices.

  • Connector.

    Reset Switch & LED Indicator

The Play Tray features a push-switch which is accessible via a paperclip and and LED light which flashes and changes color to indicate the status of the Play Tray.

  • Connector.

    Circuit Board

The majority of the space in the Play Tray is taken-up by a large circuit board. The circuit board registers commands from the Puzzlet Tiles and relays them to the connected device.

  • Connector.

    Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery

The Lithium Ion battery in the Play Tray is rechargeable via the included USB cable, offers players 7-hours of continuous use, and will hold a charge for 3-months in standby mode.

The Puzzlets platform is compatible with many devices, either wirelessly through Bluetooth 4.0 LE or wired through the included USB 2.0 cable.
