• Built an intricate track with lots of overpasses and turns? Take advantage of cross-track shooting! Cross-track shooting involves aiming your shots in a way that you fire across non-drivable areas but will still hit opponents that are in your range of fire. Medium/Long-range weapons are particularly good at this.
  • If you need more durability, Energy and Energy Regen upgrades contributes to your survival along with Armor and Weapon Efficiency Upgrades. Having the Shield item will also greatly increase your survival.
  • Equipping and using a good variety of weapon types can make you a more versatile battler. Are you always ahead of vehicles in a Battle game? Use a Deployed weapon (or Big Bang's BF guns)! Passing by opponents too often on intersections? Charge up an Area-of-effect weapon and blow up everyone at the intersection! Or even drop a deployed mine in there for passerby's!
  • Earn as many medals as you can to be able to outfit your vehicle with more powerful upgrades and items! Get many of those kill medals in a 4-car King of the Hill game, or in a Race game on a large track!
  • After you recover from being disabled, there is a 3-second grace period where you will not take damage or get hit by item effects (seen by the center light flashing once you start driving). It immediately wears off if you use an item or weapon. Take advantage of this grace period to catch up for a kill!
  • Think ahead! Sometimes being disabled isn't a bad thing, especially if it means the passing opponents could conveniently become grouped together ahead of you for a multi-kill.
  • Having a difficult time beating a commander in Time Trial? Speed Upgrades still apply in Time Trial games!
  • Exercise caution in Team games. Outnumbering a tough opponent in a Battle isn't always best because your opponent now has more targets to score from, while your team has only one.
  • When playing a Race / Time Trial game, the Boost item will help you get your best time. Avoid using it before entering a curve, and use it before a straight piece. Keep your track and tires clean as well!
